Fronius Verto is a current three-phase PV inverter for larger homes and commercial roofs. It spans 15 to 33.3 kW and uses several MPPTs for arrays with different orientations, pitches or module groups. Verto is the PV-only branch; Verto Plus is the separate hybrid model with a high-voltage battery interface.
Power classes and trackers
Verto 15, 17.5, 20 and 25 kW models have three trackers. The 27, 30 and 33.3 kW models have four. All use a 150 to 870 V MPPT range and a 1,000 V maximum DC input, but their string inputs and surge-protection schedules differ.
The UK product table gives two, one and one string inputs across the three trackers on 15 to 25 kW models. The larger four-tracker group gives two inputs per tracker. Strings joined to one tracker still need compatible electrical characteristics, and no string may exceed the model’s current or voltage limits.
Protection and enclosure
Fronius lists arc-fault detection and replaceable AC and DC surge-protection devices. The 15 to 25 kW group has type 1+2 DC and type 2 AC protection. The larger group can have type 1+2 or type 2 devices on the AC and DC sides according to configuration. The exact ordered code therefore matters.
The enclosure is IP66 and Fronius permits indoor and outdoor installation. Active cooling manages the inverter temperature. Siting still has to comply with the operating instructions, electrical clearances, access, noise and environmental conditions.
System boundary
Verto has no direct battery connection and does not supply backup during a grid outage. Adding separate storage elsewhere in the installation does not make it a Verto Plus. Export limitation, metering and Solar.web data also depend on the specified Fronius meter and its installed position.
The complete model code is needed for ENA type-test checks, DNO applications, string design and warranty. A generic Verto name does not establish the output class or protection options.
