NexBlue
NexBlue develops EV chargepoints, energy-monitoring hardware and charging software. Its current UK-specific range comprises the 7.4 kW Point 2 (UK) and 22 kW Delta Max (UK), following the earlier Point (UK) and Edge (UK).
NexBlue develops EV chargepoints, energy-monitoring hardware and the software used to commission and manage them. The business has offices in Sweden, the UK, the Netherlands and Norway. NexBlue UK Limited, company number 15814357, was incorporated in July 2024 and is registered in London.
Current UK-specific chargepoints
NexBlue’s current UK brochure covers two models. Point 2 (UK) is a single-phase 7.4 kW socketed charger for domestic installations. Delta Max (UK) is a socketed commercial model that works on single-phase or three-phase supplies and is rated up to 22 kW.
Both use the same compact backplate-based enclosure and support the myNexBlue app, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, a built-in 4G connection and local radio communication. OCPP 1.6J and 2.0.1 support allows connection to compatible chargepoint-management systems. Each model has a Type 2 socket rather than a permanently attached cable.
Point 2 (UK) is supplied with a wired current transformer for dynamic load balancing. It can instead be paired with NexBlue Zen, the company’s separate energy-monitoring product. Solar-surplus charging uses the same site measurement. Delta Max (UK) is intended for larger shared sites and adds multi-level load and phase management, a display and a Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) Class B energy meter for recorded consumption.
The current product sheets describe both models as ready for the ISO 15118 vehicle communication standard, vehicle-to-grid operation and Plug & Charge. NexBlue’s UK commercial guidance also states that vehicle and installation standards are not yet ready for those functions. Neither product should therefore be assumed to provide generally available bidirectional charging with a particular vehicle or installation.
Earlier Point and Edge models
Point (UK) and Edge (UK) belong to NexBlue’s earlier generation. Point is a single-phase 7.4 kW domestic unit. Edge accepts single-phase and three-phase supplies and is rated up to 22 kW. Both are socketed, use local OCPP 1.6J and have three-year warranties.
NexBlue released its next-generation family towards the end of 2025. Point 2 is explicitly described as the second generation of Point, while Edge 2 is described as the updated version of Edge. Current product navigation and the UK brochure now lead with the new generation. The two earlier UK products are superseded, although their declarations, manuals and product sheets remain available.
Grant register and model identity
The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) eligible chargepoint list dated 15 June 2026 includes Point (UK), Point 2 (UK), Edge (UK) and Delta Max (UK) for residential and commercial schemes. A product remaining on that list does not show that it is still on sale, nor does it make every installation eligible. The applicable scheme and installation rules still have to be met.
The government register records 22.1 kW against Edge (UK) and Delta Max (UK), while NexBlue’s product sheets rate both from 1.4 to 22 kW. These are two different published ratings for each named product, not evidence of separate 22 kW and 22.1 kW variants.
NexBlue also publishes international Edge 2, Edge Max, Delta and Delta Max models without the (UK) suffix. They are distinct from the two UK-specific current products. NexBlue Zen and the NexBlue Ready backplate are system accessories rather than chargepoint models.
