GoodWe is a solar inverter, battery and energy-management manufacturer with a UK sales and service operation.
GoodWe Technologies Co., Ltd. makes solar inverters, energy-storage equipment and related controls. The company was founded in 2010 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2020. Its current manufacturer contact page gives a London address plus separate UK sales and service routes.
The range is wider than the five entries here
GoodWe’s current global catalogue separates residential grid-tied inverters, residential storage products, batteries, commercial equipment and utility products. The five Energy Stack entries cover names found in UK project and installed-system records, not the whole catalogue.
DNS is a single-phase grid-tied inverter family. The original DNS, DNS G3 and DNS G4 have different product codes, input limits and protection options. GoodWe DNS on its own does not identify the product.
SDT is the three-phase grid-tied range. The SDT G2 page covers older GW...-DT codes, while current central listings foreground SDT G3. The two generations should not share one specification schedule.
EH and ET are hybrid-inverter names. EH is single-phase and uses a high-voltage battery connection. ET G2 is three-phase and has a separate UK and Ireland schedule covering five AC ratings. Both names can appear with other suffixes and generations, so the full code matters.
Lynx is the battery name rather than one fixed battery. Lynx F G2 is a modular high-voltage family. GoodWe also publishes other Lynx ranges with different module sizes, voltage classes and compatibility lists.
Monitoring and compatibility
Compatible systems report through GoodWe’s SEMS or SEMS+ services. Network access enables monitoring and, for some warranty extensions, is an express condition. It does not replace local commissioning records or the installer settings needed to identify export control, backup circuits and battery limits.
Battery compatibility is code-specific. A family-level statement that an ET or EH inverter works with a Lynx battery does not establish that every inverter revision can operate with every Lynx module count. GoodWe maintains separate compatibility documents, and those live documents take precedence over a broad product-family description.
Warranty and UK connection evidence
The European inverter warranty effective from 5 March 2026 applies in the UK. Its standard period depends on product family and manufacture date. It gives ten years to named residential families made on or after 1 January 2026, five years to covered inverters made before that date and five years to named commercial and utility families. Conditional extensions have their own installer, product, monitoring and registration requirements.
That schedule illustrates why a generic GoodWe warranty figure is unsafe. The exact model, manufacture date, installation date and applicable document all form part of the answer.
Manufacturer certificates and product pages also do not determine the network application for a whole property. UK connection paperwork needs current type-test evidence for the exact inverter code and settings, together with all existing generation, registered capacity and any export-limitation scheme.
