Tigo Energy

Tigo Energy makes module-level power electronics, monitoring hardware and connected home-energy equipment. The company was founded in Silicon Valley in 2007. Its current European residential range reaches beyond its established TS4 solar products to include hybrid inverters, battery storage, EV charging and a controller for heat-pump integration.

Tigo has an active UK route to market. Its distributor directory lists several United Kingdom distributors and its support centre publishes a UK telephone number. Product availability still needs checking at exact model level: the global site carries North American and European equipment side by side, while some electrical ratings and certification claims apply only to a named region.

TS4 module-level electronics

TS4 devices sit at individual solar modules but they do not replace the system’s string inverter. The suffix describes the function. O products provide optimisation, module-level monitoring and rapid shutdown. S products omit optimisation but retain monitoring and rapid shutdown. F products are dedicated rapid-shutdown devices.

The current TS4-A O, S and F products cover modules up to 725 W, while the TS4-X family raises the published limit to 800 W. TS4-A-2F is a two-input rapid-shutdown unit. The electrical limits are not interchangeable, so module current, voltage, connector, cable and system-voltage compatibility need checking against the exact TS4 datasheet.

TS4-A-O, TS4-A-S, TS4-X-O and TS4-X-S use a Tigo Access Point on the array and a Cloud Connect Advanced data logger for wireless communication and module-level monitoring. The F products instead use power-line communication with a Tigo RSS Transmitter or a compatible inverter containing the transmitter. Tigo’s rapid-shutdown literature is written around US National Electrical Code requirements. Those statements do not by themselves define what a particular UK installation requires.

Monitoring and compatibility

Cloud Connect Advanced can collect information from TS4 devices through one or more Tigo Access Points, then send system data to the Tigo Energy Intelligence platform. Tigo also publishes a compatibility database for third-party inverters. A general compatibility claim is not a substitute for checking the exact inverter, module and TS4 combination, particularly where rapid shutdown forms part of the design.

European home-energy range

The GO Optimized system brings together the EI Inverter, EI Link, GO Battery, GO EV Charger and GO Junction. The EI Inverter is a single-phase or three-phase hybrid family. EI Link provides the central wiring and communications functions. GO Battery uses stackable LFP modules, while the charger and junction extend system control to an EV and a heat pump respectively.

Tigo announced the new European GO Battery in April 2026 and said European shipments had begun on 17 June 2026. That establishes European availability at the review date, not stock with every UK distributor. The battery datasheet carries UKCA marking and the range is intended to work with Tigo EI inverters. The exact inverter, Link, battery-module count and any backup equipment define the complete system.

Warranty boundary

Current TS4-A and TS4-X product pages state a 25-year warranty. The general GO/EI limited warranty effective for qualifying equipment purchased after 15 March 2026 uses different periods: 152 months for the EI Inverter, 120 months for GO Battery and 60 months for EI Link, GO EV Charger and GO Junction. It also requires registration within 90 days and continued internet connectivity for full-duration cover. The document does not list the new TGB European battery model codes, so coverage of an exact GO Battery (EU) system should be confirmed from the warranty supplied with it.
