LONGi
LONGi is a Chinese solar technology manufacturer whose PV module families include Hi-MO 5, Hi-MO X6, Hi-MO 7 and Hi-MO X10. It has a dedicated UK and Ireland distributed-generation operation and current LONGi models appear in the MCS Product Directory.
LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is a Chinese solar technology manufacturer founded in 2000 and headquartered in Xi’an. Its activities include silicon wafers, solar cells and modules, distributed and large-scale solar systems and hydrogen equipment.
UK and European presence
LONGi operates in Europe from a regional headquarters in Frankfurt. In August 2024 it announced a general manager for its UK and Ireland distributed-generation business, covering residential, commercial and industrial module sales. Product pages, datasheets and warranty documents are available through its European site.
UK certification records sit at individual module level. The MCS Product Directory contains current entries for exact LONGi model codes and wattages, including members of the LR5-54HPH, LR5-54HTH, LR7-72HGD, LR8-66HGD, LR7-54HVH and LR7-72HVD series. A family name such as Hi-MO X10 does not by itself identify which MCS record or datasheet applies.
Module families
Hi-MO 5 covers P-type modules in monofacial and bifacial constructions. The LR5-54HPH and LR5-72HPH Hi-MO 5m datasheets use PERC cells and cover different cell counts, sizes and power ratings.
Hi-MO 6 introduced LONGi’s HPBC technology for distributed solar. LONGi changed the range’s brand identity to Hi-MO X6 in October 2023. Older quotes, stock and datasheets may therefore use Hi-MO 6 for products associated with the later X6 name. X6 includes Explorer, Scientist, Guardian and Artist variants, with construction and warranty differences between them.
Hi-MO 7 is a bifacial, dual-glass family using LONGi’s n-type HPDC cell design. The official European page centres the LR5-72HGD and LR7-72HGD formats, while current MCS records also include LR8-66HGD wattage variants.
Hi-MO X10 is the next back-contact generation, using HPBC 2.0 cells and n-type TaiRay wafers. LONGi announced European availability from 2025. Its product family includes 54-cell single-glass and 72-cell dual-glass formats, together with Explorer, Scientist, Guardian and Artist names. The exact model code remains necessary because power, bifaciality, size and warranty terms differ.
