Solar inverter brand
LuxPowerTek
LuxpowerTek is a Shenzhen-based manufacturer of hybrid, battery and off-grid inverters, with current UK technical-support routes.
LuxpowerTek is the product brand of Shenzhen Lux Power Technology Co., Ltd. Its current global catalogue spans hybrid and off-grid inverters, AC- and DC-coupled equipment, all-in-one storage products, batteries and communications accessories. The manufacturer maintains a UK technical-support route and reported exhibiting its storage systems in Birmingham in September 2025.
Three different product roles
An LXP 3–6K Hybrid connects to both solar panels and a low-voltage battery. It can convert panel power for household use, charge the battery and supply a separate backup output within the limits of the exact model.
The LXP 3600 ACS is different. It is an AC-coupled battery inverter intended to add storage alongside an existing grid-connected solar system. It has no direct panel input, so the original solar inverter remains a separate part of the installation.
Squirrel Pod is another name that can appear in UK paperwork. Luxpower’s 2024 company brochure identifies the device as LXP 3600 SQPOD and describes a primary-and-subordinate arrangement for connecting several controllers. Each controller needs its own compatible battery stack. The dedicated manufacturer page remains live, but the SQPOD is absent from the current central product catalogue, so current new-supply status is unconfirmed.
These distinctions prevent two common identification errors. An inverter or controller is not the battery, so it has no inherent storage capacity in kilowatt-hours. An AC-coupled model also cannot be assigned the solar-input specifications of a similarly rated hybrid inverter.
Product codes and UK connection evidence
The full model code determines the electrical ratings. Within LXP 3–6K, the solar-input limit, AC output and battery charge/discharge power change by version. LXP 3600 ACS and LXP 3600 SQPOD also need to be distinguished even where an older brochure presents a shared electrical schedule.
Manufacturer documents list UK standards including G98 or G100 for some products. That line in a datasheet does not settle the network route for a complete installation. The installer still needs current type-test evidence for the exact device, firmware and settings, then must account for existing generation, aggregate registered capacity and any export limitation.
Warranty and support
Luxpower’s global inverter warranty terms effective from 9 February 2026 were still within their stated six-month validity on 23 July 2026. They give five years for the named LXP 3–6K Hybrid and LXP 3600ACS standard or parallel models. Other product categories have different periods.
Those terms do not name SQPOD or Squirrel Pod, so the ACS warranty is not automatically assigned to that product. The applicable document should match the model on the label and purchase record.
The warranty begins at first installation or four months after manufacturer delivery, whichever occurs first. Claims normally start with the distributor or installer. The inverter serial number, purchase invoice, installation date, battery model and fault information are therefore material handover records.
