Easee
Easee is a Norwegian EV chargepoint manufacturer with UK home and managed-site products, including One, Charge Max and Charge Pro.
Founded in Stavanger in 2018, the company develops charger hardware, an app, a cloud platform and energy-management accessories for its connected charging system.
The company lists UK offices in Glasgow and London. Its products are made in Norway and sold through installers and other partners. Easee reported passing one million installed chargers across Europe in September 2025.
Home chargers and managed sites
Easee divides its products by site type. One is a 7.4 kW single-phase home charger developed for the UK and a small number of other markets. Charge Max is a home charger that can operate at up to 22 kW on a suitable three-phase supply and includes a Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) certified meter. Charge Up is another home-platform product offered in selected markets.
One, Charge Up and Charge Max use the home-site architecture, which supports up to three chargers on one circuit. The chargers share available capacity locally. An Easee Equalizer adds measurement at the building supply for dynamic load control and automatic solar-surplus charging.
Charge Core and Charge Pro use the large-site architecture for apartment blocks, workplaces, fleets and managed car parks. This group supports up to 101 chargers on a circuit and cloud management across larger sites. Charge Pro adds a MID-certified meter for applications that need certified energy readings.
The two architecture groups are not interchangeable on the same charging circuit. A One or Charge Max cannot join the local balancing group used by Charge Core or Charge Pro.
Connections, control and metering
The chargers use a Type 2 socket rather than a permanently attached factory cable. A compatible cable can be locked in the socket, allowing the installation to be used like a tethered charger while retaining a replaceable cable.
App control, RFID access, mobile connectivity and OCPP support appear across the range, although the exact protocol and communications differ by model generation. Current products also use local Bluetooth control. The meter is another model-specific distinction: Charge Max and Charge Pro have MID-certified Class B meters, while One and Charge Core do not.
Earlier products and UK records
Easee Home and Easee Charge belong to the previous product generation. Easee now places their manuals in its discontinued-products section, while continuing to provide documentation and support information for installed units. Easee Charge used the managed-site architecture and can communicate locally with the later Charge Core, not with the home-site group.
The GOV.UK eligible chargepoint list dated 15 June 2026 includes Easee One, Easee Charge, Charge Max and Charge Pro for residential and commercial grants. That register can retain an older model after manufacture or sale has ended, so it should be read separately from the manufacturer’s current range.
Ownership change in 2026
Easee announced on 29 May 2026 that Brødrene Jensen had acquired 100% of the company. The same announcement said AWC was expected to become the majority owner, subject to regulatory approval. That proposed later step remained conditional in the announcement.
