GENERAL
GENERAL, formerly Fujitsu General, supplies fixed split and multi-split air-conditioning systems through its UK business.
Fujitsu General Limited changed its corporate name to GENERAL Inc. on 1 January 2026. Its UK air-conditioning subsidiary changed from Fujitsu General Air Conditioning (UK) Limited to GENERAL HVAC Solutions UK Limited. GENERAL states that the overseas product-brand transition from FUJITSU will take place gradually, so the former name can remain on equipment and documentation during the change.
The Energy Stack catalogue covers the company’s residential-scale fixed split equipment. Portable appliances and commercial VRF (variable refrigerant flow) equipment are outside this catalogue.
UK business and fixed-system range
The UK business has traded since 1986 and is based in Elstree, where its offices include an installer training centre. It supplies the market through a UK distributor network. GENERAL became part of the Paloma Rheem Holdings group in 2025, before the corporate name change took effect.
The UK product area separates single-split and multi-split equipment. Available indoor formats include wall-mounted, floor, cassette and ducted units. Exact indoor and outdoor codes remain necessary because the product area covers several system arrangements and permitted combinations.
Its current multi-split section includes R32 equipment for two to five indoor units and a separate simultaneous-multi category. The permitted combinations remain specific to the selected outdoor family.
Product codes and specifications
Each system has separate indoor and outdoor unit codes. For example, indoor unit ASEH09KMCG pairs with outdoor unit AOEH09KMCG. Performance, sound, refrigerant charge, pipe limits and dimensions attach to that exact pair.
The indoor code alone does not establish the outdoor unit. Equipment carrying the former Fujitsu name remains in the same product family where the exact pair codes match.
