Solar inverter brand

Huawei FusionSolar

Huawei FusionSolar covers residential and commercial solar inverters, LUNA2000 batteries, module-level power electronics, backup equipment and the FusionSolar monitoring platform.

Huawei FusionSolar is the solar and energy-storage product ecosystem from Huawei. It covers residential and commercial inverters, LUNA2000 batteries, module-level controllers, backup switching, communications hardware and the FusionSolar app and management platform. Huawei publishes UK product-security statements for named residential equipment and maintains UK support material.

SUN2000 family codes

SUN2000 is not one inverter. On 23 July 2026, Huawei’s residential configuration tool listed L1, LB0 and LC0 single-phase families alongside M1, MAP0 and MB0 three-phase families. Other SUN2000 codes cover commercial and utility equipment.

The suffix identifies the electrical platform, but it is not always enough to identify the electrical schedule. Huawei currently publishes a generic L1 specification and a UK-launched L1 High Current Version under overlapping model codes. The product data plate and matching datasheet revision therefore matter alongside the suffix. L1, M1, LB0, LC0, MAP0 and MB0 remain separate residential families; Huawei SUN2000 on its own does not establish the required system details.

Batteries, module controllers and backup

LUNA2000 is another umbrella name. The residential S0 system uses 5 kWh modules in 5, 10 or 15 kWh towers. S1 accepts 5 kWh and 6.9 kWh modules in published combinations from 5 to 20.7 kWh. Huawei’s published S0 and S1 configurations use generation-specific power and battery modules and do not show mixed-generation towers.

Huawei’s residential module controllers include SUN2000-450W-P2, SUN2000-600W-P and SUN2000-600W-PA0. MERC-1100/1300W-P is a separate commercial full-optimiser platform.

BackupBox-B0 is matched to L1 and B1 to M1 in Huawei product material. Huawei’s current configuration tool also presents SmartGuard. Backup switching is therefore model-specific, not a generic SUN2000 feature.

Monitoring and warranty records

Compatible inverters can use Smart Dongle WLAN-FE or 4G hardware to reach FusionSolar. The exact dongle code matters because connection method, supported devices and UK security documentation vary.

Huawei’s European policy dated 19 May 2026 lists ten years for the named L1 and M1 residential inverters, ten years for LUNA2000 S0 and fifteen years for S1. S0 years 6 to 10 and S1 years 6 to 15 depend on FusionSolar SmartPVMS connectivity under that policy. MERC optimisers are listed at five years, while Smart Dongle and BackupBox accessories are listed at two years.

The UK PSTI (Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure) statements use a defined security-support period ending 31 December 2029 for the products they name. That date is not a hardware warranty. The sales contract controls the hardware warranty.
