Heat-pump or fixed-AC brand
Hitachi Cooling & Heating
Hitachi Cooling & Heating is a Bosch Home Comfort Group global brand. Its air-to-water heat-pump record includes Yutaki systems and the later R290 airH2O 800 range.
Hitachi Cooling & Heating’s earlier documented UK air-to-water families sit under the Yutaki name, which spans different hydraulic layouts, refrigerants and equipment combinations. The later airH2O 800 range uses separate product names and R290 equipment.
Current company identity
Bosch Home Comfort Group acquired the Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning joint venture on 1 August 2025. The current Hitachi airCloud Pro service states that Hitachi Cooling & Heating products are manufactured and sold by Bosch Home Comfort Group, which is a trademark licensee of Hitachi Ltd. Bosch also presents Hitachi Cooling & Heating as one of its global brands.
The UK establishment was renamed Bosch Home Comfort Cooling and Heating SAS UK Branch on 4 July 2026. Older manuals, equipment labels and certification records can still show Johnson Controls-Hitachi or earlier Hitachi company details. That difference reflects the corporate transition rather than a separate heat-pump model.
Yutaki system arrangements
Yutaki M is the monobloc arrangement. Its refrigerant circuit is contained in the outdoor unit and water pipework connects the unit to the building.
Yutaki S is a split system with a refrigerant connection between the outdoor unit and a separate indoor water module. Yutaki S Combi uses the same broad split principle but combines the indoor hydraulic equipment with a domestic-hot-water tank. The complete system code therefore includes both outdoor and indoor equipment rather than one Yutaki family name.
Yutaki S80 is another split arrangement, designed around a two-stage refrigerant cascade for higher water temperatures. It is not a higher-output version of Yutaki S. Its indoor unit, refrigerant circuits and operating-temperature record are different.
Product generations and current records
Official Yutaki documents cover both R32 and R410A generations. Product suffixes also distinguish phase, indoor-unit form and generation, so a short description such as Yutaki S 6 kW is not an exact identity.
The later airH2O 800 M, H and H Combi products use R290. Current MCS records dated from 9 December 2025 include RASM-TW2E outdoor units with an ATW-CBX-01 control box for the M arrangement, an HWM-W2E-B indoor module for H or an HWD-W2E-220S cylinder module for H Combi. These are separate product families from Yutaki M, S and S80.
One size-6 H pairing is an exception to the otherwise current grouped records. The RASM-6VTW2E & HWM-W2E-B record 041-K002-81 e ended on 10 December 2025, while the three-phase RASM-6TW2E & HWM-W2E-B record 041-K002-81 f remained current on 23 July 2026.
Exact Yutaki M, Yutaki S, S Combi and S80 combinations had current MCS entries on 23 July 2026. A directory entry establishes the listed combination’s certification at that date, but does not by itself establish current UK stock or new-supply availability.
