Panasonic’s UK domestic range includes Aquarea wet heat pumps and a separate fixed air-to-air range. The catalogue contains generation letters, range names and several indoor arrangements. The complete indoor and outdoor codes identify the supplied system.

Generations and refrigerants

M Series is the current T-CAP R290 platform, covering 9 to 30 kW capacity classes with stand-alone outdoor, control-module, bi-bloc and All in One arrangements. L Series is the R290 High Performance hydraulic-split range, with current UK combinations in 5, 7 and 9 kW classes.

K Series uses R32 in both High Performance and T-CAP products. J Series also uses R32 in High Performance and T-CAP monobloc equipment. The generation letter does not by itself identify the performance range or indoor arrangement.

High Performance and T-CAP

High Performance includes K Series refrigerant-split systems, L Series hydraulic-split systems and J Series monoblocs. Their maximum water temperatures and refrigerant locations differ.

T-CAP is Panasonic’s maintained-capacity range. It includes M Series R290, K Series R32 split systems and J Series R32 monoblocs. The outdoor temperature and water temperature at which capacity is maintained are product-specific, so T-CAP is not one universal performance figure.

Indoor arrangements and codes

All in One combines indoor hydraulic equipment, controls and a domestic-hot-water cylinder. Bi-bloc uses separate indoor and outdoor equipment. Monobloc keeps the refrigerant circuit in the outdoor unit.

Panasonic codes beginning WH- identify individual outdoor and indoor products. A KIT- reference identifies a defined combination. Both sides of a split or hydraulic-split system should be retained in the design and handover documents.

Fixed air-to-air range

Panasonic’s current domestic range includes single-split and multi-split systems with wall-mounted, floor-console and concealed ducted indoor units. These systems provide room heating and cooling through indoor fan units. They do not form part of the Aquarea wet heating range.

Etherea R32 is the shorter four-pair schedule: 2.05, 2.50, 3.50 and 5.00 kW nominal cooling. Its indoor cabinet is 870 mm wide through the 3.5 kW pair and 1,040 mm at 5.0 kW. SEER runs from 8.5 to 9.5, SCOP from 4.8 to 5.2, and every current pair is A+++ for cooling.

TZ Super-Compact R32 spans seven pairs from 2.0 to 7.1 kW nominal cooling. Its 20 to 50 classes use a narrower 765 mm indoor cabinet; the 60 and 71 classes increase to 1,060 mm. SEER runs from 6.3 to 7.3, SCOP from 4.1 to 4.6, and every current CKE pair is A++ for cooling.

TZ offers more sizes and the narrower small-to-medium cabinet; Etherea has the higher seasonal cooling classes in its four-pair schedule. KIT identifies a complete pair, CS the indoor unit and CU the outdoor unit.

Certification and warranty records

The MCS Product Directory contained current exact M, L, K and J generation records on 23 July 2026. Examples included WH-WXG, WH-WDG, WH-UDZ, WH-UXZ, WH-MDC and WH-MXC families. Certification applies to the named outdoor unit or combination, not every product carrying the Aquarea name.

The written warranty certificate and applicable terms establish the duration and conditions for an installation. Panasonic describes a purchased seven-year route when an eligible air-to-water PRO Partner supplies and installs the system. Its live page also carries historical scheme text, so current eligibility needs to be confirmed against the issued documents.
