Solar inverter brand

SolarEdge

SolarEdge supplies optimised solar systems, residential and commercial inverters, batteries, backup equipment, Smart Modules, EV chargers and energy-management software.

SolarEdge supplies solar inverters, module-level power optimisers, batteries, backup equipment, Smart Modules, EV chargers and energy-management software. Its current UK residential range brings those products together under the SolarEdge Home name.

Optimiser-led PV architecture

A residential SolarEdge PV system normally puts a power optimiser at each module and connects the optimiser string to a compatible fixed-voltage inverter. The supported system provides panel-level DC optimisation and panel-level monitoring.

SafeDC belongs to the supported system rather than to an isolated component. The exact inverter, optimiser type and string-design table therefore matter together. An optimiser with a suitable wattage is not automatically a valid substitute if its voltage class or string-design table differs.

Smart Modules combine a PV module and pre-assembled S-series optimiser. They use their own module codes and warranty documents, so SolarEdge Smart Module is a family description rather than a complete product identity.

Home Wave, Home Hub and storage

SolarEdge’s current UK inverter page lists Home Wave, Home Hub and Home Short String families. Home Wave manages PV production, compatible on-grid battery storage and smart energy devices. Home Hub adds the system functions used for supported battery backup.

Single-phase and three-phase Home Hub systems use different batteries. Home Battery 400V is paired with compatible single-phase equipment, while Home Battery 48V is used with named three-phase Home inverters. Supported backup additionally requires the phase-appropriate Home Backup Interface.

Those distinctions make the complete suffix important. Home Hub, Home Battery or SolarEdge inverter on its own does not establish the phase, power class, battery connection or backup hardware.

SolarEdge commercial power optimisers

S1000 and S1200 are commercial two-module optimisers. Their published schedule is separate from the residential S-series schedule, so a shared product-family name does not make the two ranges interchangeable.

SolarEdge inverter and optimiser cover

SolarEdge’s August 2025 general policy gives 25 years for covered power optimisers and 12 years for covered inverters and Home Backup Interface units. Batteries and PV modules have separate policies. Eligible inverter warranties may be extended to 20 or 25 years under the extension rules, but communications accessories are excluded from that inverter extension.

These periods are the published position at 23 July 2026, not a substitute for the supplied product’s serial-specific record, market terms and separate battery or module policy.

SolarEdge maintains UK support routes for homeowners and installers, alongside its knowledge centre, training and warranty information. Family presence on the UK site does not establish stock of every regional part number.
