Simpson & Partners is a British EV chargepoint manufacturer founded by David and Mandy Simpson in 2020 after they left Andersen EV. Its current products are designed and built at its Cotswolds factory.
Home Series V3
The current home range uses one compact enclosure across three wall-mounted names. Home 7 is the single-phase Basic model. Home 7 Plus uses the same charging-power schedule with a wider choice of finishes and options. Home 22 Plus is the three-phase version for charging at up to 22 kW where both the electricity supply and vehicle support it.
All three are offered with either a locking Type 2 socket or a fixed Type 2 cable. Tethered versions have 6.8 m or 9.6 m cables. A freestanding Home Series uses the same charging families on an integrated pedestal for locations without a suitable wall.
The Plus designation does not increase the Home 7’s AC rating. It identifies options including metal or wood caps, more front colours, courtesy lighting, the Charge Doctor monitoring function, wireless energy management and Ethernet. The fitted connector, cable length, energy manager and communications define the actual configuration.
Smart charging and supply protection
Home Series V3 supports app control, tariff integration, solar charging, dynamic charging and load management. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are standard across the family, with Ethernet on applicable Plus configurations. Native OCPP 1.6J is also supported.
A wired Energy Manager monitors household demand and can reduce charge current when other loads use the available supply capacity. A wireless version is offered on applicable Plus configurations where the measuring point and charger cannot be linked by the normal control cable. V3 protection includes 6 mA of DC residual-current detection, PEN (protective earth and neutral) fault protection, welded-contact detection and thermal protection.
Business, holiday and support routes
The Business Series adds commercial access and management options, including RFID (radio-frequency identification), OCPP integration and metering choices depending on the model. Holiday Series equipment is aimed at guest charging and includes models with Measuring Instruments Directive-compliant metering for recording billed energy. Both ranges include wall-mounted or freestanding forms.
UK support includes a telephone route, weekday support hours and online documentation for current Home, Business and Holiday equipment.
For units bought after 1 April 2025, the current warranty page separates ten years of enclosure cover from five years for power electronics and requires product registration. A three-year statement in the official 2024 datasheet should not be transferred to a current V3 unit without checking its purchase date and terms.
The GOV.UK eligible chargepoint list updated 15 June 2026 included HOME 7, HOME 7 Plus and HOME 22 Plus for both residential and commercial grants. That is a dated register position; eligibility also depends on the current grant and installation rules.
