GivEnergy

GivEnergy Ltd was a British manufacturer of home and commercial battery storage. Its hardware included LFP batteries, hybrid and AC-coupled inverters, a home EV charger and backup gateways. The company was incorporated in September 2018 and traded from Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire.

Product range

At the point trading ceased, the residential range centred on the All In One 2, an AC-coupled all-in-one unit. Paired with a Gateway 2 it provided backup switchover during a power cut, and an additional MPPT unit added a direct solar input. The range also included 13.5 kWh expansion batteries, with a maximum capacity of 40.5 kWh.

Alongside the all-in-one unit, GivEnergy sold Hybrid Inverter Gen 3 models in low-voltage, high-voltage and three-phase versions. It also sold an AC-coupled inverter, standalone LFP batteries, an EV charger and backup gateways. These products remain relevant to owners and engineers because substantial numbers are installed, but they should not be read as a range currently supplied by GivEnergy Ltd.

Company structure

GivEnergy Ltd was one legal entity within a wider group that includes separate commercial, software, property and overseas companies. The administrator’s appointment applies to GivEnergy Ltd, not automatically to every company using the GivEnergy name.

Administration and product support

On 9 April 2026 GivEnergy Ltd (company number 11571089) entered administration. Christopher Brooksbank of CB Business Recovery Ltd was appointed administrator. As at 22 July 2026, Companies House records continued to show the company in administration. The administrator’s statement published by the Energy Storage Association says that the company ceased trading and made all its employees redundant.

For existing owners this affects warranties and support directly. The administrator has stated that GivEnergy Ltd will honour no further hardware warranties, and that ongoing user and software support will not be honoured by GivEnergy Ltd either. Consumers are directed to contact their installer in the first instance.

The loss of the manufacturer’s warranty does not by itself decide any separate right an owner may have against a retailer, installer or finance provider. The Energy Storage Association’s customer FAQ outlines possible routes and advises owners not to dismantle or self-diagnose battery and inverter hardware.

Several group companies were not included in the administration. As at 22 July 2026, Companies House listed GivEnergy Software Limited, company number 14899764, as active. The GivEnergy Software FAQ described a free Standard tier for local monitoring and control, with remote access, historical data, automation and API use in a paid Premium tier. It also said firmware was generally not maintained by the software company and that future firmware availability remained unclear.

That continuing software operation does not restore GivEnergy Ltd’s hardware warranty or support obligations. Portal, app and firmware availability beyond the review date should not be assumed from the software company’s current status alone.
