Daikin

Daikin’s UK residential range covers hydronic heat pumps and fixed air-to-air heating and cooling. Altherma is used for the wet-system ranges. Names such as Emura and Perfera identify separate air-to-air families. The complete indoor and outdoor codes identify the installed system.

Current air-to-water families

Altherma 4 H is the current R290 high-temperature hydrosplit range. It is available with either a wall-mounted indoor unit and separate hot-water store, identified as W, or a floor-standing unit with an integrated cylinder, identified as F.

Several Altherma 3 families remain in the current UK catalogue. Altherma 3 M is an R32 monobloc, so the refrigerant circuit is contained in the outdoor unit. Altherma 3 R is a lower-temperature R32 split range. Its F package has an integrated hot-water cylinder, while its W package uses a wall-mounted indoor unit.

Altherma 3 H MT and H HT are different outdoor-unit schedules. MT is the medium-temperature 8, 10 and 12 kW family. HT covers the high-temperature 14, 16 and 18 kW classes. Outdoor-unit compatibility remains specific to the MT or HT schedule.

Fixed air-to-air systems

The current UK residential AC range includes single-split wall systems and multi-split arrangements. Emura and Perfera use separate equipment schedules.

Emura has five current FTXJ-A and RXJ-A pairs from 2.0 to 5.0 kW nominal cooling. The 20, 25 and 35 classes achieve A+++ for both cooling and heating; the 42 and 50 classes are A++ for both. Every indoor unit uses the same 900 mm-wide cabinet, with matt white, silver and matt black finishes. Compatible Emura indoor units can also form part of a separately specified multi-split.

Perfera uses FTXM-A wall-mounted indoor units from class 20 to class 71. The current FTXM-A / 5MXM-A reference is a multi-split arrangement: 5MXM90A2V1B can connect up to five compatible indoor units. Perfera cabinets are 804 mm wide through class 50 and 997 mm wide for classes 60 and 71. The multi-split range can also use compatible cassette and concealed-ceiling indoor units.

For either family, the indoor code identifies the room unit; the outdoor code and connected-unit schedule establish the system arrangement and performance.

GEO is a different system type

Altherma 3 GEO is a ground-to-water or water-to-water system rather than an air-source unit. In collective-heating arrangements, individual apartment units connect to a shared water loop. Its design and certification records are not air-source specifications.

Product codes and certification

Daikin marketing names sit above detailed codes such as EPSK, EPRA, ERGA, ERLA, EBLA, EDLA, EGSAH and EGSAX. The code identifies capacity, electrical supply, function and revision. Indoor-unit and cylinder codes can also form part of the certified combination.

The MCS Product Directory held current records for examples across these families on 23 July 2026. That check is a dated register result, not a guarantee that every possible pairing under the family name is certified. A project record needs the exact outdoor and indoor combination.

Warranty record

Daikin’s live UK residential warranty page stated a two-year standard term on 23 July 2026. It described a free extension to five years for an air-to-water heat pump registered through Stand By Me, and a paid route to seven years when installed by a qualifying Sustainable Home Expert. Annual maintenance and the detailed terms still apply. The registered certificate, rather than a general family page, establishes the cover on an individual system.
