The product range covers wall and pedestal chargers for homes, workplaces and public or managed charging sites, together with the evec app and options for third-party chargepoint management.

Current charger range

vecGO 2.0 is the current home and small-business generation at 23 July 2026. Its four main wallbox codes separate power supply and cable arrangement. VEC01-N is a 7.4 kW single-phase socketed unit and VEC02-N is its 22 kW three-phase counterpart. VEC03-N and VEC04-N are the tethered equivalents.

The -N suffix is part of the model identity. Earlier VEC01 to VEC04 units use different enclosures and documents even where their power and tethering arrangement look similar. VEC03 remains available from evec despite its page presenting vecGO 2.0 as the upgraded version. Project and handover records need the entire code.

For larger or public-facing work, evec also markets vecSPRINT wall and ground-mounted chargers. Other current codes cover dual outlets, pedestals and DC charging. Their model codes and installation documents are separate from the domestic vecGO range.

Smart, solar and site controls

The vecGO 2.0 range supports the evec app, scheduled charging, RFID access and OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol). The feature sections use version 1.6J, while the datasheets’ start-mode tables abbreviate it to 1.6. ECO mode uses measured surplus solar generation.

The product documents list home power load balancing, with a current-transformer (CT) kit offered for advanced energy monitoring and dynamic load-management compatibility. Open PEN (protective earth and neutral) fault protection is included on UK units, along with AC and DC residual-current protection. The installation design still has to provide the circuit protection and measurement arrangement required for the site.

The 22 kW models need a suitable three-phase connection. Their nameplate rating also depends on the connected vehicle accepting that AC charging rate.

Warranty and product records

evec publishes a three-year parts and labour guarantee. Its terms require the product to be registered within 30 days of delivery and installed by a suitably qualified professional. Registration outside that period gives 12 months under the stated policy, while an unregistered product receives no manufacturer warranty. The current range also offers a paid extension to five years.

Companies House lists active company EVEC LTD under registration number 13715318. The current evec site footer instead displays 10860406, which Companies House assigns to COOLMED LIMITED. An order, invoice and warranty record should retain the legal entity and registration number it displays.

The GOV.UK eligible chargepoint spreadsheet updated on 15 June 2026 includes VEC01-N to VEC04-N for residential and commercial grants. Earlier VEC01 to VEC04 codes remain present too. A model-list entry does not establish retail status and a grant still depends on the live applicant, property and installation rules.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards accepted a 2023 enforcement undertaking covering VEC01 to VEC04 stock and the security requirement in Regulation 12 of the smart-chargepoint regulations. The document records that the affected existing stock was non-compliant, could not be reworked and would be sold at reduced prices to reduce the stock level. It says current production at that time already had the required change. The VEC03 actions had a completion date of 1 October 2023, so that record concerns the bounded stock in the undertaking rather than every unit carrying the VEC03 name.
