EV charger brand
Wallbox
Wallbox supplies connected EV chargers in the UK, with Pulsar Max for homes and Pulsar Pro for shared or commercial charging.
Wallbox Chargers, S.L. supplies connected EV charging and energy-management equipment. Its current UK material presents Pulsar Max as the home charger and Pulsar Pro for shared residential, workplace and fleet sites. Support documentation remains available for earlier Pulsar Plus and Copper SB units.
Current UK models
Pulsar Max is offered in tethered and socketed Type 2 forms, at up to 7.4 kW on single-phase supplies or 22 kW on three-phase. Current 2025 documentation uses the PLP2 and PLP4 model families and lists IP55 and IK10 protection.
Pulsar Pro uses the same main power classes, with a socket or 5 or 7 m Type 2 cable. It adds RFID, NFC-ready hardware, 4G, business-portal functions and OCPP integration. Wallbox also released a 2026 Pro version with integrated MID metering and ISO 15118-ready PLC hardware, so the product generation and exact PRP code matter.
Part numbers such as PLP2 followed by cable, connector, power and colour codes are variants, not dozens of separate charger families. The rating label is needed to identify the connection, cable, phase rating and UK protection option.
Earlier UK products
Wallbox’s UK smart-charging notice says Pulsar Plus ceased to be available for new sale because it did not comply with the later Great Britain smart-chargepoint requirements. It says Copper SB production ended in the first half of 2024 and its temporary UK sales arrangement ended on 30 June 2024. Both remain in the support library for installed systems.
That lifecycle position is regional. A current global support page or UKCA declaration does not prove that an older model is again available for new domestic sale in Great Britain.
Energy management and online services
The Wallbox app provides schedules, session history and charger controls. Solar charging and dynamic load management need a compatible Wallbox power meter and commissioning. OCPP operation, Wallbox cloud operation and direct app functions can expose different feature sets.
Warranty differs by model and purchase date. Current support states five years for recent Pulsar Max purchases, three years for Pulsar Pro and three years on the retained Pulsar Plus and Copper SB pages. Third-party sales terms may differ, so the order and serial number remain the evidence for an individual charger.
