Solar inverter brand
Fronius
Fronius supplies UK residential and commercial solar inverters, high-voltage batteries and EV chargers, with system monitoring through Solar.web.
Fronius is an Austrian manufacturer with a UK Solar Energy operation in Milton Keynes. Its current UK pages cover residential and commercial solar inverters, battery storage, EV charging, monitoring and energy-management equipment. The product generation matters because similar names can describe a standard PV inverter, a software-upgradable model or a hybrid inverter with battery functions already enabled.
Residential inverters and storage
The GEN24 range is divided by phase. Primo GEN24 is single-phase and Symo GEN24 is three-phase. Standard GEN24 models include a PV Point basic backup outlet, subject to the installed arrangement. Battery operation and Full Backup are enabled from purchase on GEN24 Plus. A standard GEN24 may be converted through the paid UP.storage software upgrade where that upgrade is available for the country and exact device.
The newer GEN24 SC generation accepts higher PV input currents and includes Fronius Arc Guard. The full model code identifies its power class, standard or Plus status and SC generation.
Reserva is Fronius’s current high-voltage LFP home battery, with 6.31 to 15.79 kWh usable per tower. Reserva Pro covers larger residential and commercial applications. A battery does not create backup on its own: the compatible hybrid inverter and installed isolation, switching, protection and earthing arrangement determine what is supplied during a grid outage.
Commercial range
Verto is a three-phase multi-MPPT inverter for complex roofs in power classes from 15 to 33.3 kW. Verto Plus adds a battery interface and full backup functions. Tauro is a 50 kW project inverter offered in Direct and Precombined layouts, with Tauro Eco using a single MPPT. Argeno is a 125 kW commercial inverter with ten MPPTs.
The earlier Primo and Symo SnapINverters remain prominent in Fronius manuals, support pages and installed systems. Their pages are retained as superseded rather than being presented as the current residential range.
EV charging, monitoring and support
Wattpilot Flex is the current fixed-cable EV charger, in 11 and 22 kW Home and Pro versions. Solar-optimised charging requires compatible metering and system components. Solar.web provides monitoring and is also used for inverter registration.
Fronius states that warranty cover varies by product, country, commissioning date and registration. Its current warranty page says eligible new inverters commissioned from 1 June 2026 must be registered in Solar.web for the free extension. The applicable certificate and terms for the serial number take precedence over a general headline.
