Heat-pump or fixed-AC brand
NIBE
NIBE is a Swedish heating manufacturer with a current UK range of air-source, ground-source and exhaust-air heat pumps, indoor modules and controls.
NIBE is a Swedish manufacturer of heating, cooling and hot-water equipment. Its UK business supplies air-source, ground-source and exhaust-air heat pumps, alongside cylinders, indoor modules, controls and accessories. The company also retains manuals and support information for older NIBE equipment, so a live document does not necessarily mean that a product is still in the current UK sales range.
Current UK range
NIBE’s current UK air-source category lists the S2125, S2060 and F2050 outdoor-unit families. Its ground-source category lists S1156, S1256 and S1155, plus the larger F1345 and F1355 families. The exhaust-air category includes S735 and F470, while the S735 product page also identifies an S735C version with active cooling.
These products are not all complete systems on their own. Air-source outdoor units need compatible control equipment and an indoor hot-water arrangement where required. S1156, S1155, F1345 and F1355 need a separate hot-water cylinder where domestic hot water is required. S1256, S735 and F470 contain integrated storage.
Older and retained products
F2040, F2120 and S1255 equipment remains installed in UK homes and NIBE continues to publish support material for it. F2040 has been succeeded in the current air-source range by F2050. F2120 and S1255 are absent from NIBE’s current UK category pages, but that alone does not establish the status of every remaining distributor unit. Their exact model, serial number and supply position should be checked.
Design and control
A model number or nominal output is not a heat-loss calculation. Heat-pump selection also depends on the design outdoor temperature, required flow temperature, emitter capacity, hot-water demand and electrical supply. Ground-source systems additionally need a designed ground array, while an exhaust-air heat pump depends on the dwelling’s ventilation design and available extract-air energy.
S-Series products use NIBE controls and myUplink connectivity. Online control is useful for monitoring and adjustment, but it does not replace correct hydraulic, ventilation or weather-compensation commissioning.
Warranty and support
NIBE’s published UK terms describe a standard parts-and-labour warranty of 24 months from installation, capped at 33 months from manufacture. Registration is required within 28 days. A seven-year parts-and-labour route may be offered through qualifying NIBE Pro Partner or NIBE Pro Exclusive installers, subject to registration, annual servicing, completed Benchmark records and the other terms.
The published terms apply to mainland Great Britain and include extra conditions for coastal air-source installations. The warranty supplied with the exact unit remains the controlling record because terms can differ by purchase date, installer route and product.
