Fox ESS

Fox ESS makes solar inverters, battery inverters and high-voltage storage. Its UK site covers residential and commercial equipment, including separate grid-tied, hybrid, AC-coupled and all-in-one routes. A family name alone does not establish exact compatibility.

Current inverter families

The current UK grid-tied range starts with the single-phase S, F and G families. Three-phase products include T from 3 to 25 kW, V from 30 to 75 kW and R from 75 to 110 kW. These are solar inverters without a direct battery connection.

H1-G2 is a single-phase hybrid inverter and AC1-G2 is its storage-only counterpart. The UK site advertises 3, 3.7, 5 and 6 kW options. KH is a higher-power single-phase hybrid family, with KA as the AC-coupled counterpart; the UK range advertises 7, 8, 9 and 10 kW versions. Three-phase storage includes H3 Smart from 5 to 15 kW, H3 Pro from 15 to 30 kW and H3 Plus from 50 to 125 kW. The commercial and industrial range also includes larger G-Max routes. Fox ESS lists Evo, PowerQ and MiniQube all-in-one systems in its residential range.

Those descriptions are not interchangeable. The full rating label identifies the generation, power class and regional version and selects the matching product documentation.

EP and ECS batteries

The UK residential battery page currently centres on the 5.76 kWh EP6 and 11.52 kWh EP12. Up to four matching units can operate in parallel where the selected inverter and design support it. Its modular range includes EQ2900, EQ4300, EQ4800, EQ5000 and CQ7.

EP5, EP11 and ECS equipment is still relevant to installed systems. Current UK H3 Smart and H3 Pro pages name EP5 and EP11 as compatible options, although the main UK battery range now presents EP6 and EP12. The current UK pages refer briefly to ECS alongside EQ, but do not give ECS the same product-level coverage. UK new-supply availability for EP5, EP11 and ECS is unconfirmed.

ECS is a modular tower format with several module families, so the exact suffix is needed to identify its limits.

Warranty, monitoring and retained products

Under the UK and Ireland battery policy in force on 23 July 2026, standard cover runs for 60 months from installation but no later than 65 months from manufacture, whichever comes first. EP5 and EP11 can receive a further 60 months when the stated registration and FoxCloud conditions are met. Named ECS families can receive a further 84 months on the same basis. Performance cover is also limited by energy throughput and other operating conditions, so it should not be described simply as an unconditional ten or twelve-year warranty.

Inverter electronics, charge controllers and those parts inside an all-in-one product use a separate inverter policy. Its standard cover also runs for 60 months from installation but no later than 65 months from manufacture. Eligible products have registration-based and paid FoxPro extension routes, while AIO products are excluded. The documents supplied with the exact serial number, manufacture date and installation date should be retained.

Older AIO-AC1 and AIO-H3 documents remain listed in an official regional library. On 23 July 2026, these exact cabinets were absent from the current UK range. They are covered here for existing systems, with current new-product availability left unconfirmed.
