NIBE F1345 is a current high-output ground-source heat-pump family. NIBE’s UK page lists F1345-24, F1345-30, F1345-40 and F1345-60. It is positioned for buildings with larger heat demands rather than as a direct equivalent to NIBE’s smaller domestic S-Series units.
Range and capacity
The numbers in the model names identify output classes, but they are not guaranteed heat outputs at every source and heating-water temperature. Selection needs the exact capacity and electrical-input tables at the proposed design points.
NIBE says an F1345 can be installed with up to nine other NIBE heat pumps. That gives a published maximum of ten units in a cascade, subject to the controller, hydraulic and source-side design. Cascade capability does not remove the need to size each stage or provide the required electrical capacity.
System arrangement
F1345 is an indoor brine-to-water heat pump without an integrated domestic hot-water cylinder. It needs a designed borehole, ground collector or suitable water-source circuit, plus heating distribution and the required circulation, expansion, safety and electrical equipment. Domestic hot water needs an external cylinder and control arrangement where required.
NIBE gives the family an A+++ heating energy label. This is a standardised product rating, not a whole-system forecast. Ground temperature, extraction rate, brine pumping, flow temperature, domestic hot water and controls all affect annual performance.
System design
The system design documents the room-by-room heat loss, design flow temperature, emitter output and hot-water demand. The source-side design states the assumed geology or water conditions, borehole or collector arrangement, extraction rate, antifreeze, flow and pump duty.
For a cascade, the design also covers the number and exact suffixes of the units, lead-lag control, low-load operation, resilience strategy, hydraulic separation and combined electrical demand. A nominal total made by adding model names is not enough.
NIBE describes compatibility with accessories and external inputs for functions such as ventilation, pools and additional heat sources. These remain designed options rather than functions included in every installation. Warranty eligibility depends on registration, installer route, servicing and the complete UK terms.
