NIBE F2050 is a current inverter-driven air-to-water heat-pump family using R32 refrigerant. It comprises F2050-6, F2050-10, F2050-12 and F2050-16.
Model differences
The four designations identify different outdoor units, not fixed outputs. Their available output changes with outdoor and supply temperature.
| Model | Heat output at -7/35 | COP at -7/35 | Average-climate SCOP at 35/55 | Nominal sound power | Dimensions H × W × D | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| F2050-6 | 5.55 kW | 2.71 | 5.08 / 3.56 | 53 dB(A) | 781–791 × 993 × 383 mm | 76 kg |
| F2050-10 | 7.18 kW | 2.45 | 4.59 / 3.36 | 53 dB(A) | 895–905 × 1,035 × 422 mm | 83 kg |
| F2050-12 | 6.61 kW | 2.85 | 4.87 / 3.49 | 60 dB(A) | 1,120 × 1,160 × 440 mm | 104 kg |
| F2050-16 | 10.50 kW | 2.90 | 4.58 / 3.42 | 63 dB(A) | 1,120 × 1,160 × 440 mm | 118 kg |
The heat-output and COP columns are EN 14511 partial-load results at -7°C outdoor air and 35°C supply temperature. SCOP is EN 14825 for an average European climate, shown at 35°C and 55°C. The -12 and -16 labels therefore do not mean 12 kW and 16 kW at every design condition.
F2050-6 and F2050-10 have a heating range of -20°C to 43°C outdoor air. F2050-12 and F2050-16 extend the lower boundary to -25°C. The current room-heating classes are A+++ at 35°C and A++ at 55°C.
Quiet Mark applies to F2050-6 and F2050-10, not to the complete family. Their 53 dB(A) nominal sound-power figure is also lower than the 60 dB(A) and 63 dB(A) figures for F2050-12 and F2050-16.
Outdoor-unit boundary
F2050 is an outdoor unit rather than a complete heating and hot-water system. It needs separate control equipment and a separate hot-water arrangement where domestic hot water is required. The complete F2050 designation identifies the selected outdoor unit.
SMO S40 supports all four models. VVM S320 supports F2050-6, F2050-10 and F2050-12; the F2050-12 combination requires an added NIBE UKV. An S-Series controller provides myUplink and the wider system controls rather than those functions residing in the outdoor unit.
The family can provide cooling as part of a suitable system. Heating, cooling and domestic-hot-water functions therefore depend on the selected controller, indoor equipment and hydraulic arrangement as well as the outdoor-unit designation.
MCS records
All four single-phase outdoor units have current MCS Product Directory records:
| Model number | MCS certification number | Listed to |
|---|---|---|
| F2050-6 (1x230V) | 012-C700141 | 6 June 2032 |
| F2050-10 (1x230V) | 012-C700142 | 11 December 2032 |
| F2050-12 (1x230V) | 012-C700251 | 3 November 2034 |
| F2050-16 (1x230V) | 012-C700252 | 3 November 2034 |
These records identify the outdoor-unit models. Controller, indoor-module and hydraulic compatibility still have to be established separately.
Warranty
The standard NIBE UK guarantee is 24 months for parts and labour from installation, or 33 months from manufacture, whichever is shorter. NIBE Pro Partner and NIBE Pro Exclusive installers can offer the full seven-year parts-and-labour warranty.
The seven-year terms require registration within 28 days, installation and commissioning by a NIBE-trained installer, annual servicing and completed Benchmark records. They apply to appliances bought and used in mainland Great Britain. The current terms also require the specified Blygold protective coating where an air-source unit is installed within 1 km of the coast.
