Pylontech Pelio-L-5.12 is a low-voltage LFP battery with 5.12 kWh nominal and 4.864 kWh usable capacity. Its manuals and warranty remain available for installed systems; current UK new-supply status was unconfirmed on 23 July 2026.

Electrical limits

Nominal voltage is 51.2 V. Normal charge and discharge current is 80 A, with 100 to 120 A available for up to 15 minutes and 120 to 200 A for up to 15 seconds. These ranges do not override lower limits from the inverter, cabling, protective equipment or battery temperature.

One system can contain up to 20 Pelio units. Pelio must not be paralleled with Pylontech US, UP or other 48 V products. Shared nominal voltage is therefore not evidence of mixing compatibility. Inverter support also depends on the applicable Pylontech communications protocol rather than voltage alone.

Enclosure and location

The battery measures 395 by 578 by 165 mm and weighs about 45 kg. Its IP65 rating applies when installation is completed correctly under the manual. Charging is specified from 0°C to 50°C and discharging from -10°C to 50°C. The location still needs suitable structure, access, environmental control and fire-safety assessment.

Warranty record

The European and UK Pelio warranty begins with seven years from installation or six months after manufacture, whichever occurs first, with free registration for extension to ten years. Minimum capacity is 70% of nominal energy during the initial term and 60% at the end of the registered extension.

The warranty separately calculates a ten-year time-value replacement by linear depreciation and describes an 80% usable-capacity basis for that guarantee. This is a different test from the 70% and 60% minimum-capacity definitions, so the complete dated terms matter.
