Pylontech H48050 is a 48 V, 2.4 kWh LFP battery module used in PowerCube high-voltage rack systems. It is not a standalone low-voltage home battery. Modules connect in series behind a compatible Pylontech controller to create the complete system voltage required by the inverter or power-conversion system.
Module and system distinction
The manufacturer-hosted PowerCube H1/H2 manual gives module dimensions of 442 by 390 by 100 mm, a 24 kg weight and IP20 protection. It describes PowerCube H systems with five to 18 modules, while the current European and UK warranty defines different ranges for different SC-series controllers. The controller model and its matching manual therefore set the valid module count.
The complete PowerCube system has 95% depth of discharge. That does not permit a loose H48050 module to operate without the controller. System current, voltage cut-offs, communications and protection are coordinated at rack level.
Installed-system identity
H48050 and the physically similar H48074 have different energy, height and weight. PowerCube X and H names also cover different controllers and rack arrangements. A replacement needs the exact module, controller, rack and firmware record rather than only a 48 V label.
IP20 means the module relies on its cabinet and room for environmental protection. The rack needs suitable temperature control, structural support, access, cable protection and a maintained fire-extinguisher system. A 24 kg module requires more than one person where handling equipment is unavailable.
Lifecycle and warranty
H48050 is not in Pylontech’s current product list, although its PowerCube manuals, certificates and warranty remain in the download system. It is therefore retained as a superseded installed-system entry.
The hosted PowerCube European and UK terms begin with seven years and describe free registration for extension to ten years. They define H48050 as a covered battery module and set controller-specific connection ranges. The installed system’s purchase record, registration and dated terms determine its actual cover.
