EVO is Rolec’s compact current charger for domestic and light-commercial installations. It has a universal Type 2 socket and comes in a 7.4 kW single-phase version or a 22 kW three-phase version. The vehicle, supply and configured current still determine the actual charge rate.
| Model code | Socket | Rating | Phase | Connectivity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ROLEC5011 |
one universal Type 2 | 7.4 kW | single-phase | Wi-Fi and Ethernet |
ROLEC5013 |
one universal Type 2 | 22 kW | three-phase | Wi-Fi, Ethernet and 4G |
Both codes use the Daytona Grey finish and support OCPP 1.6J.
Charging and control
Charging can be controlled through the Rolec EVO application, RFID cards or a plug-and-go setting. The charger supports OCPP 1.6, allowing a light-commercial installation to use a compatible chargepoint-management provider instead of relying only on Rolec’s app. That provider’s connectivity, account and payment terms are separate from the hardware.
EVO supports scheduled and off-peak charging plus surplus-solar modes. Solar control requires the correct CT kit and configuration. The single-phase model includes a load-balancing CT and cable, while the three-phase model needs an optional three-phase kit. The 22 kW version can switch between three-phase and single-phase operation.
Installation boundary
EVO includes 30 mA Type A AC and 6 mA DC residual-current protection, PME fault detection, surge and temperature protection and automatic dynamic load balancing. PME detection is selectable during installation on the 22 kW model. The full circuit still needs the protection, isolation, earthing and notification arrangement required by the current instructions and UK rules.
The enclosure measures 260 × 260 × 112 mm and is rated IP54 / IK10. Wi-Fi and Ethernet are available across the range, with 4G on the 22 kW model. The product warranty is five years, subject to its terms.
