GO EV Charger is Tigo Energy’s tethered Type 2 charger for the European GO Optimized energy system. TGC-7K1S is a 7.2 kW single-phase model and TGC-22K3S is a 22 kW three-phase model that can be configured to 11 kW.
Charging hardware
Both versions have a maximum current of 32 A and a 6.5 m attached Type 2 cable. The enclosure is rated IP65, the operating range is -30°C to 50°C and the unit measures 265 × 370 × 155 mm. It weighs 10.5 kg.
Built-in protection includes PEN (protective earth and neutral) fault detection, 30 mA AC residual-current detection and 6 mA DC detection. These functions form part of the full circuit design alongside the current installation instructions, wiring rules and chargepoint regulations.
Tigo system dependency
The charger forms part of the GO Optimized energy-storage system. Its communications and energy-management functions depend on supported Tigo equipment rather than operating as a universal stand-alone solar charger. The charger model, supply phase, EI inverter and Link, metering arrangement and load control define the complete configuration.
The availability of 22 kW charging at a property also depends on a suitable three-phase supply and the vehicle’s onboard charger. The rating on the wall unit alone does not establish the charge rate the vehicle will accept.
The residential warranty term is 60 months, subject to registration and the other applicable conditions. UK availability of the exact model and current smart-chargepoint compliance evidence should be confirmed for the supplied unit.
