Vitocal 100-A is an R32 air-to-water monobloc heat pump introduced to the UK in 2020. Six nominal output sizes were published: 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 kW. All refrigeration components are contained in the outdoor unit, with water connections taken into the building.

Output and configuration

The range is intended for new-build and modernisation projects. Its coefficient of performance is up to 4.9 at A7/W35, and it can produce a 60°C flow temperature at -5°C outdoor temperature. Both figures are tied to those stated conditions and are not seasonal performance figures.

The heat pump has an integral circulation pump and controller. Domestic hot water requires a separate cylinder or a compatible cylinder-and-buffer arrangement. Up to seven units can be arranged as a cascade for higher-output systems.

UK status

The current UK Vitocal comparison table still names Vitocal 100-A and Viessmann continues to host its brochure, serial-number tool and warranty entry. However, the family is absent from the main air source product list, which instead leads with newer ranges such as Vitocal 150-A and 200-A. Its availability is therefore recorded here as unconfirmed rather than current.

An existing unit remains supported through Viessmann’s UK documentation and service routes. The type plate and serial number are important because output, electrical requirements and clearances differ across the six sizes.

Refrigerant and warranty

The range uses R32 refrigerant. The monobloc arrangement means the installer does not connect refrigerant pipework between indoor and outdoor units, but the installation still has to meet the manufacturer’s hydraulic, electrical, siting and commissioning requirements.

At 23 July 2026, Vitocal 100-A had a two-year standard warranty and no listed seven-year extension. The installation’s registration record and warranty terms remain the controlling documents.
