Vitocal 200-A is Viessmann’s reversible air-to-water monobloc range with a wall-mounted indoor hydraulic unit and an outdoor unit. Water, rather than field-installed refrigerant pipework, runs between them. The system can provide heating, active cooling and heat for a separate hot-water cylinder.
Range and performance
The family has seven versions. Four use the AWO-M-E-AC designation: 201.A04, A06, A08 and A10. Three use AWO-E-AC: 201.A10, A13 and A16. The duplicate A10 label therefore does not identify a unit by itself.
At A7/W35, rated outputs are 4.0, 4.8, 5.6, 7.0, 7.6, 8.9 and 10.1 kW in that order. The respective coefficients of performance are 4.6, 4.7, 4.7, 4.7, 5.0, 5.0 and 5.0. The broader family range is 4 to 12 kW, reflecting operation at other conditions.
System details
The published maximum flow temperature is 60°C. The indoor unit includes a secondary circulation pump, three-way diverter valve and Vitotronic 200 control. Some versions also include an instantaneous electrical heater. A separate cylinder is required for domestic hot water.
The unit’s reversible circuit provides active cooling where the hydraulic design, emitters, controls and condensation management allow it. App operation requires the optional Vitoconnect interface and a compatible ViCare setup.
Identifying an installation
Vitocal 200-A spans multiple type codes and has also been used in other Viessmann product names, including 200-A intelligent energy and 200-A PRO. Those are not interchangeable descriptions. Product and service records need the full outdoor and indoor unit codes.
At 23 July 2026, Vitocal 200-A had a two-year standard warranty and a paid seven-year extension, subject to registration, servicing and the current terms.
