Vitocal 200-G

Vitocal 200-G is a ground source heat-pump family for detached and semi-detached homes. It is supplied as a brine-to-water unit for ground loops or, with the specified system arrangement, for water-source operation. A separate domestic-hot-water cylinder is required.

Outputs

For brine-to-water operation at B0/W35, the five fixed-output sizes are 5.8, 7.5, 10.4, 13.0 and 17.4 kW. Their coefficients of performance at that same test point are 4.60, 4.64, 4.81, 4.93 and 4.51. Water-to-water output ranges from 7.5 to 22.6 kW.

The family SCOP (seasonal coefficient of performance) is up to 5.3 for average-climate, low-temperature operation. This is an upper family figure rather than the result for every model or building.

Equipment and controls

The Vitocal 200-G uses a fixed-output scroll compressor, electronic expansion valve and Viessmann’s refrigerant-cycle diagnostic control. The primary and secondary circulation pumps and three-way valve are integrated into the casing.

The maximum published flow temperature is 60°C. Natural cooling is possible with an optional cooling box and a suitable system design. The Vitotronic controller can operate heating, cooling, hot water and compatible ventilation equipment. Remote control through ViCare requires the relevant Vitoconnect hardware.

Ground-array context

The heat pump rating does not determine the ground collector or borehole design. Source temperature, ground conditions, peak extraction, annual energy demand and regeneration all affect that design. Water-source operation also needs the intermediate circuit and source-side design specified by Viessmann.

At 23 July 2026, warranty cover was two years as standard with a paid route to seven years. The product must be identified by its full type code, particularly when matching documents, controls or replacement components.
