CS5800iAW is the technical designation for equipment in the Worcester Bosch Compress 5800i AW family. It is not a separate range beside the Compress 5800i.
Reading the code
The outdoor capacities are CS5800iAW 4, 5 and 7. Codes use forms such as ORE-S for an outdoor record and OR-S within a system combination. Indoor equipment then adds its own designation.
The MCS Product Directory reflected that structure on 23 July 2026. Three records covered the 4, 5 and 7 kW outdoor units. Eight further records paired a specific capacity with a named 180, 210 or 250 litre indoor cylinder arrangement. The exact combinations used certificate references MCS HP0329/05 to /15.

A design that says only CS5800iAW has therefore not identified the capacity or indoor system. Certification and handover documents need the complete outdoor and indoor codes.
Shared family characteristics
All three outdoor units use R290 in a monobloc refrigerant circuit and a single-phase supply. The 4, 5 and 7 capacity codes provide 4.31, 6.43 and 7.09 kW respectively at A2/W35. MCS seasonal values also differ by capacity. Maximum flow temperature is 75°C. Sound power is 40 dB(A) for the 4 capacity code and 42 dB(A) for the 5 and 7 codes.
The family can use wall-hung, cylinder or hybrid indoor equipment. Sales of the domestic pre-plumbed cylinders named in an August 2025 notice had ceased, while existing warranty support continued. Current indoor-package availability is therefore code-specific.
Current guarantee terms provide a minimum two years and allow longer cover depending on the model and installer accreditation.
