Access equipment
Access equipment is the scaffold, ladder, platform or other equipment used to let surveyors or installers reach an installation area safely during survey, installation, maintenance or removal.
Access equipment is the scaffold, ladder, platform or other equipment used to let surveyors or installers reach an installation area safely during survey, installation, maintenance or removal. In home energy work, it can appear around PV roof work, battery or inverter mounting, EV charger cable routes and heat pump siting. It is a site access and safety assumption, not proof that the roof structure is suitable, that planning or Building Regulations conditions are met, that a scaffold licence has been granted, that the installer has completed risk assessments, that DNO approval is in place or that MCS certification has been achieved.
