Amp-hour
Also known as Ah, ampere-hour, ampere hour
Ah (amp-hour) is a unit of electric charge used in battery and equipment documents; in home energy it should be read with the battery voltage and the kWh (kilowatt-hour) capacity, not as a stand-alone runtime or power figure.
Ah (amp-hour) is a unit of electric charge equal to one ampere of current flowing for one hour, or 3,600 coulombs. In home energy documents it most often appears in battery datasheets and smaller equipment specifications as a capacity figure based on current multiplied by time. For home batteries, kWh (kilowatt-hour) is usually the published stored-energy figure, while Ah only becomes comparable when the voltage, usable-capacity boundary, battery management limits and manufacturer conditions are also known.
