As-built drawing

An as-built drawing is a drawing or schematic updated at completion to show how an installation was actually built rather than only how it was originally designed.

An as-built drawing is a drawing or schematic updated at completion to show the installation as it was actually built, rather than only how it was originally designed. In home energy work, it may show the final PV array layout, inverter or battery position, cable route, isolation point, EV charge point, heat pump outdoor unit, pipe route or control position. It is a handover and maintenance record, not proof of electrical safety, Building Regulations compliance, DNO approval, MCS certification, warranty cover or export tariff eligibility.
