Battery fire rating

A battery fire rating is a shorthand label for fire-related battery safety evidence, such as a test standard, installation requirement or enclosure claim.

A battery fire rating is a document label for a specific fire-safety test, standard, product classification, installation requirement or enclosure claim linked to a home battery system. It is separate from an ingress protection rating, battery chemistry, usable capacity, warranty length, MCS certification, DNO approval, export-tariff eligibility, backup availability and proof that a battery cannot overheat, burn or spread fire.
