Battery inverter
A battery inverter is the power-electronics unit that connects a battery storage system to the AC side of a home energy installation.
A battery inverter converts stored DC electricity from a battery into AC electricity for the home, grid connection or supported backup circuits when the battery discharges. The battery inverter is not the battery cells, the usable capacity, the DNO approval, the export permission or proof that backup, whole-home backup, smart-tariff operation or installation compliance is available.
