Billing period
A billing period is the date range covered by an energy bill, supplier statement or export payment statement.
Billing period means the start and end dates covered by an energy bill, supplier statement or export payment statement. It is the period used to bring together meter readings, energy used, standing charges, unit-rate charges, account payments, account credit or export readings for that document. It may not match a calendar month, a tariff-price period, a meter-reading date or the date a direct debit leaves the account. A billing period is separate from a unit rate, standing charge, direct-debit amount, meter reading, SEG eligibility, export MPAN setup, DNO approval and device-control settings.
