Building control notification
Building control notification is the record that relevant building work has been reported to building control or the local authority.
Building control notification is the record that relevant building work has been reported to the building control body or local authority. In home energy projects it may appear when notifiable electrical, heating or building work is self-certified through a competent person scheme, rather than handled through a separate building regulations application by the homeowner. It can be useful evidence in a handover pack or property sale record, but it is not the same thing as planning permission, DNO approval, an MCS certificate, grant approval, product warranty cover or proof that every part of the system is correctly designed and suitable.
