Capacity warranty

A capacity warranty is the part of a product warranty that sets a minimum retained capacity for a battery after a defined period, mileage, cycle count or energy-throughput limit. It is usually written as a percentage of original rated or usable capacity, and it should be read with the warranty period, permitted applications, commissioning requirements, exclusions, measurement method and any throughput or cycle limit. It is not the same as the battery's present state of health, a promise of fixed household lifespan, a guarantee of backup runtime or proof that every warranty claim will be accepted.
