Cell voltage

Cell voltage is the electrical voltage of one battery cell inside a battery pack, usually monitored by the BMS to protect and balance the pack.

Cell voltage is the voltage measured across an individual battery cell, not the voltage of the whole battery pack or inverter DC bus. In home battery documents it can appear in datasheets, control apps, diagnostic screens, warranty evidence, commissioning packs and support logs as an individual cell reading or as a highest, lowest or allowed cell-voltage value. It helps the BMS protect cells from overvoltage, undervoltage and imbalance, but it is separate from usable capacity, state of charge (SoC), state of health, pack voltage, cell balancing, MCS certification, DNO approval, export settings and proof that the battery is safe or faulty.
