Charge curve
A charge curve shows how an EV's charging power changes during a charging session, usually against state of charge or time.
A charge curve is the pattern of charging power during an EV charging session, usually shown as kilowatts against battery state of charge or time. It helps explain why an EV may charge quickly for part of a session and then slow down as the battery fills, warms or reaches vehicle-managed limits. The curve depends on the vehicle, battery state of charge, battery temperature, charger power, cable, site conditions and control settings. On home AC charging it may be limited mainly by the vehicle onboard charger, chargepoint rating and property supply, while DC rapid charging curves can change more sharply. A charge curve is not a fixed charging time, battery-health score, tariff-saving promise or proof that the charger is faulty.
