Commissioning pack

A commissioning pack is the bundle of handover documents that records how a home energy installation has been set up, checked and handed over.

A commissioning pack is the document bundle supplied after a home energy installation has been set to work, checked and handed over. MCS defines commissioning as moving an installation to full working order and recording relevant measurements, test results and any commissioning report or certificate required by the technology standard. It defines handover as the point where commissioning and certification have been completed, the installation is explained to the client and the relevant documents are supplied. In MCS consumer material this is usually called a handover pack, with product details, operating information, warranties, maintenance guidance, certificates and DNO evidence where required.
