Connection application

Also known as DNO connection application, apply to connect

A connection application is a request or form submitted to a network operator or DNO before certain new connections, altered connections or home energy devices are connected.

A connection application is a request or form submitted to a network operator or DNO before certain work is connected to the electricity network. In home-energy paperwork, it commonly appears where a solar PV system, battery, EV chargepoint, heat pump or altered supply needs DNO assessment before installation or connection. It can include an apply-to-connect G99 application, a G100 export-limiting submission or a DNO-specific form, depending on the equipment and connection route. It is not the approval itself and does not replace a DNO notification, connection offer, connection agreement, export MPAN, MCS certificate, building regulations certificate, planning consent or product warranty.
