Credit meter
A credit meter is an electricity or gas meter, or smart-meter mode, where the supplier bills the household after energy has been used.
A credit meter is an electricity or gas meter, or a smart-meter credit mode, where the supplier bills the household after energy has been used instead of requiring prepayment credit before use. It is separate from the tariff rate, direct debit amount, account balance, estimated bill, smart-meter status, SEG registration, export MPAN setup, solar PV generation record, battery, EV charger or heat pump control compatibility and proof that a bill is accurate.
