Data logger

A data logger is a device, gateway or built-in function that records operating data from equipment such as inverters, batteries, meters or sensors and passes it to a monitoring portal, local system or service platform.

A data logger is a device, gateway or built-in function that collects and records operating data from equipment such as inverters, batteries, meters, CT (current transformer) clamps or environmental sensors. In home energy systems it may send those readings to a monitoring portal, installer platform or local control system through Wi-Fi, Ethernet, cellular, RS485 or another supported connection.
