DC isolator placement

DC isolator placement is the documented location of the DC switch-disconnector, isolator or circuit breaker used to disconnect the PV array or string side of a solar inverter, whether the isolation point is built into the inverter, fitted beside it or shown elsewhere on the DC cable route. It matters because PV DC circuits can remain energised in daylight, so the isolator's rating, label, access and relationship to upstream array cables need to be clear in drawings, commissioning records and handover paperwork.
