Dynamic load balancing

Dynamic load balancing is an EV charging control that adjusts charging current or power against the property's available electrical capacity instead of using one fixed maximum rate.
Dynamic load balancing, often shortened to DLB, is an EV chargepoint or load-management function that monitors site or household electricity use and adjusts the current or power available to EV charging so the installation stays within a configured capacity limit. In a home, it may use a CT clamp, meter data or a manufacturer energy-management accessory to reduce or pause charging when other loads rise, then allow more charging again when capacity is available. It does not increase the supply capacity, guarantee the charger's headline kW output, replace competent electrical design or mean the charger has solar charging, smart-tariff scheduling or whole-home energy optimisation.
