Dynamic tariff API
Also known as Dynamic tariff application programming interface
A dynamic tariff API (application programming interface) is a software interface that lets apps or services retrieve dynamic tariff prices, product details or price windows from an energy supplier or platform.
A dynamic tariff API (application programming interface) is a software interface that exposes electricity tariff data whose unit rates vary by time period, formula or market signal. In home energy systems it may be used by apps, energy management services, EV charger schedulers or battery controls to read current, historic or next-day import or export rates before planning a schedule. Octopus Energy's API documentation, for example, shows product and price endpoints for Agile Octopus and returns unit-rate records with valid-from and valid-to times.
