Engineering Recommendation
Also known as EREC
An Engineering Recommendation is an ENA technical document, often shortened to EREC (Engineering Recommendation), that sets requirements or guidance used in Great Britain electricity-network engineering.
An Engineering Recommendation, often shortened to EREC (Engineering Recommendation), is a technical document category published or catalogued by ENA for electricity-network engineering. In home energy paperwork, the term usually appears in references such as EREC G98, EREC G99 and EREC G100, which sit around generator, storage, vehicle-to-grid and export or import-limitation connection processes. An Engineering Recommendation can affect the forms, type-test evidence, settings and commissioning records a DNO expects, but the label itself is not a DNO approval letter, connection agreement, export MPAN, MCS certificate, product warranty or proof that a whole installation is compliant.
