An event log is a time-ordered record of system events, alarms, setting changes or communication changes kept by a home energy device, app or monitoring platform.
An event log is a time-ordered record of system events kept by a device, controller, app or monitoring platform. In home energy systems it may record alarms, firmware updates, control changes, connection events, charge sessions, access changes or device status changes from a PV inverter, battery, EV charger or heat pump controller. The log provides a dated trail for comparison with symptoms, settings and product manuals. Billing, certification and warranty records have separate functions.
