EVSE
Also known as Electric vehicle supply equipment
EVSE means EV supply equipment: the charging equipment that supplies electricity to an EV through a socket, connector, cable or chargepoint.
EVSE means EV supply equipment. It is a technical term for the charging equipment that an EV connects to when it is charged from a fixed installation, home charger, smart cable or chargepoint. In domestic material the same equipment may be called an EV charger, wallbox or chargepoint. The label identifies the charging equipment rather than the vehicle, tariff, charging app, OCPP platform or installation certificate, and it does not by itself confirm smart functionality, solar integration, protective-device arrangement, installation quality or the charging speed the vehicle will receive.
